Ceramic Kenzans for Flowers

Together with ceramic artist Yoka Eto Ya, we've created a small collection of handmade ceramic pieces for flower arranging.
If you've never used a kenzan, it's a surprisingly simple tool that completely changes the way you arrange flowers. A kenzan helps hold each stem in place, so even just a few blooms can turn into a beautiful, sculptural composition. Our ceramic flowers sit on top of a vase, while the bowls are designed to hold a classic metal kenzan inside.
Originally created in Japan, kenzans became an essential part of ikebana — the Japanese art of flower arranging, where every stem has its own place and every composition values space as much as the flowers themselves. We love this approach because it shows that you don't need dozens of flowers to create something beautiful.

Each ceramic piece is handmade and one of a kind. You can find the collection in our catalog: Ceramic bowl, Ceramic kenzan.
